A new Way to Move
YogaCore: Strength, Flexibility & Balance - what a way to start a day.
YogaCore is not a typical Yoga class.
It’s a powerful blend of yoga asana and body weight training, designed to help build strength, improve flexibility and enhance balance - in both body and mind.
Why YogaCore?
-
In yoga our core is essential to who we are. It’s home to our deepest core muscle of all - the diaphragm. This is where we will connect with our deepest core, through slow, deep breath-led abdominal moves.
You will feel those core muscles in a completely new way.
-
Yoga is commonly thought of as a flexibility practice, which of course it can be, however flexibility without mobility and strength is not desirable.
In YogaCore we will work the muscles through their full ranges of active range - there will be no passive stretching here.
-
In YogaCore balance has two important meanings - physical balance and mental balance.
Why both?
Because they are the foundations to full-body health.
Our physical balance is essential the older we get we want and should be standing on one leg for a long as we can.
Our mental balance, helps us to have build resilience and the inner strength it takes to take on life and everything it throws at us.

Still not sure? Let me explain why I decided to create YogaCore.
YogaCore started out of a desire to create a class that didn’t spike my stress levels at the start of a busy day, but was able to challenge my body enough to build the strength I need to teach multiple yoga classes a day without creating mental and/or physical fatigue.
As a curvier body, I don’t always feel welcome in mainstream fitness classes, but I do have a strong body which yoga has helped me to achieve. It helps me stay injury free as a runner and has given me a strong core.
But for me Yoga isn’t exercise, which I why I wanted to create YogaCore. Taking inspiration from the asana practice to create a way to train the body and mind for strength, resilience and focus.
I dream of creating a YogaCore community, where all bodies regardless of shape, size, and age feel seen, challenged, and strong.
Why I love it…
Perfect for all levels - whether you’re a beginner or experienced
Boosts energy and metabolism, helping you feel amazing all day.
Combines mindfulness with movement for a balanced mind-body
Strengthens the core including essential breathing muscles
